There is no additional cost associated with Courtesy Pay Overdraft unless you use it. You will be charged our Courtesy Pay Overdraft Fee for each item created by check, ATM transfers or withdrawals, or other electronic means paid under the Courtesy Pay Overdraft limit. For example, three paid items in one day will result in three instances of Courtesy Pay Overdraft Fees. To help you manage your account, the total fees you have paid for Courtesy Pay Overdraft and/or Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Fee(s) for returned items during the current month and for the year-to-date will be reflected on your Member statement.
Provident will not assess fees unless your checking available balance is negative by more than $5.00 and the individual transaction is more than $10.00. The maximum number of Courtesy Pay Overdraft Fees that Provident will assess for each checking account is limited to 5 per day. Any approved Overdrafts after that will be paid at no charge if you are within your Courtesy Pay Overdraft limit. There is no limit to the number of Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Fees you can be charged per day.
